Cost-sharing is one of the primary means by which the Noxious Weed Control Board works toward its goals. By cost-sharing in noxious weed control projects the Noxious Weed Control Board is able to make its public and grant funding go further thereby making benefits more accessible to tax-paying property owners. Cost-sharing has the added benefit of increasing vested interests in areas that might otherwise be neglected, areas where noxious weed threats often granted a greater capacity to flourish.
